The Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade celebrated Small Business Week by handing out its annual awards last week.
The business awards went beyond the business community and also recognized a citizen of the year, a not-for-profit organization of the year and two post-secondary students of the year — one from each of Grenfell Campus and the College of the North Atlantic.
Here is the complete list of winners:
- Joe Mullins Citizen of the Year Award: Gladys Batten, Corner Brook Come Home Year chairperson
- Legacy Award: Brenda Lee (The Orchid)
