Seana Colbourne gives Santa a big hug at the Springdale Public Library Saturday. It’s the time of year when Santa makes his rounds to visit communities all over to spread his Christmas cheer.
Santa Claus was the main attraction in Baie Verte Saturday at the Annual Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade. The annual holiday tradition saw a change this year with the Kin Center no longer available. The parade took a different route through town and Santa was available at the arena afterwards.
The Sparks hitched a ride on the Polar Express.

Fiona Philpott, back, and her friend Edie White were intrigued by the lights at the Town of Baie Verte Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Friday evening. Many of the town’s citizens gathered to see the tree at the town square lit up. They enjoyed some treats and kept toasty by the fires lit nearby.
Ava Harris had one of the best seats in the house for the tree lighting in Springdale Monday evening.
