One day in advance of the International Day of Sign Language. Please join us to help end audism in Canada.
Twillingate - Twillingate Museum is celebrating 45 years! Come celebrate with us on Saturday, Sept. 22 with an open house from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be light refreshments from 2-4 p.m. and a great sale in our craft shop!
Grand Falls-Windsor – The Exploits Valley SPCA Looney Line is an opportunity, once a month, to show off some of the adoptable animals from the shelter and at the same time collect monetary donations for the shelter. To reduce stress on the animals, a different one gets brought out each hour. A table will be set up at the Exploits Valley Mall from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Stop by and drop a loonie or two in the jar, check out the animal, and said Hi. No donation is too big or too small.

Grand Falls-Windsor - The seventh annual Grand Falls-Windsor Senior’s Fair will be taking place on Thursday, Oct. 4.
The Northcliff Drama Club is hosting a Spirits Survivor event at the Gordon Pinsent Centre for the Arts on Nov. 2, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the event starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 per person plus a bottle of wine, alcohol or beer (costing $15 plus). There will be finger foods and live entertainment. Bring your bottle of spirits to the event. No homemade alcohol. The object of the game is to be the last name drawn. There will be immunity opportunities to keep you in the game. Must be 19 years of age.
Botwood - Jubilee Pentecostal Church is celebrating a 90th anniversary in 2018. A kick off and banner unveiling occurred in April, and celebrations continue with various activities throughout the year and a full weekend of celebration planned for Nov. 16-18 in Botwood with special guests, speakers, gospel concert and a Rock Memorial event on Saturday evening. Gander - The Drunk Driver Alert Program encourages people to report known or suspected drunk drivers in time to avert needless injury or death. Anyone who suspects a driver may be impaired is asked to call the RCMP immediately at 256-6841, giving their location and a description of the suspect vehicle, including make, model, colour and license number, if possible, as well as the direction of travel and a description of the driver. The caller need not leave his or her name.
