The South and Central Health Foundation is hosting a movie night on April 29 at 7 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Mental Health Revitalization Project at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. Admission is by donation.

Harmsworth Public Library, Grand Falls-Windsor, will be hosting NL Trigger Mitts. Christine LeGrow and Shirley Scott will discuss their book “Salt Water Mittens,” and NL knitting traditions. Bring along your “knitting treasures.”

SKATING SHOW

The Sparkling Blades are hosting their annual ice show on May 4 at 4 p.m. at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium in Grand Falls-Windsor. The show is scheduled to feature former Canadian junior men's champion Elladj Balde. Tickets are on sale April 30th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and May 4 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the stadium box office. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5 Botwood is holding their annual Battle of the North Atlantic Memorial Ceremony in Botwood on Sunday, May 5. It will commence with a parade from the Botwood Legion at 10:30 a.m. followed by a church service at St. James Anglican Church at 11:00 a.m. and a memorial service wharf side at the Botwood Port Authority Wharf. Everyone is invited.
