‪Summer Fun at the library‬

It was a beautiful day to enjoy and summer fun theme at the Springdale Public Library story time program. ‬

Librarian Judy Hamilton engaged in conversation with the children about the things they do in the summer for fun.

Their responses included soccer, ice cream, tenting, camping, swimming and much more. The most important fun for summer was also the sun.

The story “Oliva goes Camping” was read, which was appropriate due to it be May 24th weekend.

The children sung “Mr. Sun Mr. Golden Sun” song followed by everyone participating in a colouring contest in which they coloured an ice cream cone. The winner was Noah Simms-Doody.

The summer fun continued by all the children going outside and colouring pictures and hopscotch on the pavement with road chalk and blowing bubbles.

The highlight for summer fun was going to the playground and enjoying a snack.

It was a awesome day to have the feeling of summer arriving.
