NAIN, NL – The RCMP seized a large quantity of alcohol at the airport in Nain after discovering evidence of bootlegging during a search of a residence in the community on May 29.

Police say the seizure will help curb the illegal sale of alcohol in the community. Alcohol can only be bought in Nain at licenced establishments.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
