Central Health’s board of directors issued a release Feb. 12 announcing the resignation, stating the health authority will not be providing further comment.

The Department of Health and Community Services stated an interim CEO will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Recruitment for a new CEO will be completed through the legislated merit-based appointment process by the Independent Appointments Commission,” according to the statement.
