BAIE VERTE JUNCTION, N.L.
The Trans-Canada Highway is down to one lane west of the Baie Verte Junction this afternoon, Oct. 17, following a collision in the area.
Springdale RCMP were advised around noon a transport fuel truck and an SUV had collided, according to a release issued at 2:41 p.m.
An 89-year-old man from Baie Verte was transported to the hospital in Springdale with non-life-threatening injuries.
Springdale RCMP and Traffic Services as well as the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment are currently at the scene, the release indicated.
