LEWISPORTE, NL – While work to address an equipment issue at the Lewisporte Stadium went over budget, the thought is that the operating efficiency it has resulted in will result in some operational savings.
Recreation and Tourism director Chris Watton noted at the Dec. 19 meeting of the Lewisporte Town Council that the original cost estimate to address equipment/compressor issues at the stadium was around $4,000, but due to the need for a return trip by the company involved to install required parts the cost came in at over $8,300.
