Glasco said he was ”hoping to raise a few hundred dollars for Parkinson’s in memory of dad, so I decided to do this dip in the water here today to honour him. I’ve done a few cold water events for various charities since 2017 and even shovelled snow in winter in shorts once,” added Glasco who said he hopes to make this an annual event. He was joined in the water by two supporters Krystle Hayden and Carolyn Staple, whose father John Staple has Parkinson’s disease. Friends for many years, Hayden said they do cold water exercise throughout the year and call themselves the “soul sisters.” Above, Glasco reacts to the cold water before he takes a quick seat in the cold waters.
