The advance polls for the upcoming Bonavista-Burin-Trinity byelection have begun — with the opportunity to vote today, Dec. 1, Saturday, Dec. 2, Sunday, Dec. 3, and Monday, Dec. 4.

Polling locations are open from noon to 8 p.m. during the advance poll period.

If you’re interested in voting, bring along a photo I.D.—a driver’s license will do—there is a list of acceptable I.D.s on the Elections Canada website.

On the website, www.elections.ca, you can enter your postal code for more information on the location of your appropriate polling booth, and more details for both the advance polls and election day.

If you are not registered to vote, you can go to a polling station and register to vote on the same day as you cast your ballot.

Election day is Monday, Dec. 11. Polls will be open on that day from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

For more information, be sure to go to www.elections.ca.
