Botwood man ticketed for trying to pass emergency vehicles near Glenwood

GLENWOOD, N.L. — A 53-year-old man from Botwood was issued a ticket for failing to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle east of Glenwood on the Trans-Canada Highway on April 11.

Gander Fire/Rescue and Gander RCMP were responding to a two-vehicle collision in the area at the time.

According to the RCMP, a vehicle attempted to pass emergency vehicles that were headed to the call. all of the emergency vehicles had their emergency lights and sirens activated.

The main was also fined for operating a vehicle with an expired/invalid licence.
