BOTWOOD, NL— Ed Lanon of Bishop’s Falls was the latest person to get a chance to find the ace of spades, but he failed to pull it from the six-card deck last night, Dec. 13.

Still, he walked away with a nice Christmas gift - a consolation prize of $4,791.

The jackpot now stands at $38,000 with five cards left in the deck.

With the crowds getting bigger each week for the Chase the Ace event, the 50/50 prizes are also getting bigger. Last night Carolyn Ball, Nancy Ball and Michelle Dawe shared the prize of $6,245.

So it’s back to the Legion Hall again next Wednesday night, Dec. 20, for another chance for someone to win the big prize.
