The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) will be holding public information sessions to discuss DFO's Fishery Monitoring Policy and the U.S.A.'s Marine Mammal Protection Act.

The purpose of these sessions is to provide information as to how the Fishery Monitoring Policy and the Marine Mammal Protection Act affect both commercial and recreational fish harvesters and stakeholders.

These meetings will be held on the dates, locations, and times identified below:

Nov. 14 - Port Hope Simpson, Alexis Hotel, 1:30pm (NAFO Divisions 2GHJ)

Nov. 19 - Deer Lake, Holiday Inn Express, 10:30am (NAFO Divisions 4R3Pn)

Nov. 26 - St. John's, Holiday Inn, 180 Portugal Cove Rd, 10:30am (NAFO Divisions 3LNO)

Nov. 28 - Gander, Albatross Hotel, 10:30am (NAFO Division 3K)

Nov. 29 - Clarenville, Clarenville Inn, 10:30am (NAFO Sub-Division 3Ps)

Fish harvesters and stakeholders are encouraged to attend these information sessions.
