GANDER, NL - Today's snowstorm has resulted in the cancellation of the blood drive tonight in Gander.
Canadian Blood Services says donors are asked to reschedule their appointments to tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 28. The hours for the blood drive are being extended.
The blood drive will take place at Fraser Road United Church Hall at 1 Brochen St.
There are two sessions - one from 12-3 p.m. and another one from 5-9 p.m.
Every unit of blood collected will be sent to local hospitals in Newfoundland and Labrador within three to five days of donating, according to Canadian Blood Services.
