GLOVERTOWN, N.L. — On Monday, Feb. 18, Glovertown RCMP received a report of break and enter into seven seasonal cabins located at Splash N Putt Resort.

A television was stolen from each cabin.

This incident took place sometime between October, 2018 and yesterday when it was discovered. Entry into each cabin was gained through forcing the front door using a pry tool.

The stolen TVs are black, flat screen, LG brand and range from 19 to 22 inches.

One television, which was damaged, was left behind and seized by police for further investigation.

RCMP cautions the public that not only is break, enter and theft a criminal offence, so is possession of stolen property or possession of property that has been obtained by crime. Anyone caught in the possession of stolen property could face criminal charges.

Police also encourage homeowners or cabin owners to take extra measures when it comes to safety of their property with the use of equipment such as security cameras, motion lights, locks on all doors and windows, alarm sensors, and fencing.
