ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Cleanup was underway Thursday at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s following the unintended activation of a sprinkler by a contractor who was completing renovations on the fifth floor of the facility’s south wing.

Eastern Health stated that, as a result of the incident, patients in seven in-patient beds and two operating room recovery beds had to be temporarily relocated.
