MING'S BIGHT, N.L. — The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Baie Verte has opened an investigation into a workplace accident in Ming's Bight that claimed the life of a 63-year-old man from Harbour Round.

The incident occurred on the Ming's Bight government wharf on Wednesday afternoon.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP along with Emergency Medical Services and the Baie Verte and Ming’s Bight Fire Departments responded to the accident.

Occupational Health and Safety are engaged in the investigation.
