Man taken off flight in Gander for unruly behaviour

RCMP has confirmed that a flagsman has died as a result of being struck on Route 80, between Heart's Content and Old Perlican, today.

Early this morning an American passenger was taken off a Swiss air flight in Gander

The RCMP was contacted by the Gander International Airport reporting that a Swiss air flight was being diverted to Gander due to the behaviour of an unruly passenger.

The flight had departed JFK Airport in New York and was en route to Zurich, Switzerland.

Gander RCMP, with assistance from Glovertown RCMP, arrested a 24-year old man from New York.

He is is being charged under the Aeronautics Act and will be held in police custody until his next court appearance on Monday, Jan. 15.
