ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — While the search is on for a permanent information and privacy commissioner, the provincial government has appointed Victoria Woodworth-Lynas in an acting role.
Woodworth Lynas previously served as the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy (ATIPP) office director, prior to which she was the director legislative renewal in the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment.
She is a graduate of Memorial University and a civil servant since 2011.
The position was made vacant earlier this year when Donovan Molloy resigned after being appointed to the bench of Territorial Court of the Northwest Territories.
In a release announcing the appointment, government says the process for the appointment of a permanent Commissioner is ongoing.
