Earlier this month it was announced dozens of rural and remote communities in Newfoundland and Labrador would be receiving improved internet services through the federal Connect to Innovate program.
The communities receiving upgrades were not announced at the time but have finally been divulged by the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development.

The Connect to Innovate program is investing $500 million towards high-speed Internet networks in Canada.
Of the $39.97 million announced for Newfoundland and Labrador on Jan. 2, $26.88 million will come from the federal government, $1.57 million from the provincial government and $11.52 million will come from other contributors.
