Parents charged after youth caught operating ATV in Bishop’s Falls

A charge has been laid against the parents of a youth for allowing their child to operate an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) while underage.

According to a RCMP release, the youth was also charged with offences under the Motorized Snow Vehicles and All-Terrain Vehicles.

Police witnessed the youth operating the ATV on the roadway in Bishop's Falls earlier today, Sept. 28.

The ATV was impounded.

The RCMP is reminding the public that ATVs are not to be operated by youth under 16 years of age or driven on the roadway.
