A media report from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook says a 35-year-old man from that city had his vehicle impounded Friday afternoon because he did not have insurance.

The report says RNC officers were monitoring traffic near Steady Brook for compliance with the ‘Move Over’ law.

“Police observed a vehicle approaching at high rate of speed and failed to move over to open lane and reduce speed,” reads the report.

After investigating, police say they discovered the man was driving without a valid license, and that he had not been licensed since 2005.
