Police looking for help finding driver involved in Gander hit and run

GANDER, N.L. — The RCMP are investigating a hit and run that occurred in Gander on Tuesday, morning, March 12.

According to a RCMP release, just after 9 a.m., police received a complaint a vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Bennett Drive.

The suspect vehicle hit the bumper of a vehicle that was legally proceeding through the intersection and continued driving without stopping. The vehicle was last seen on Bennett Drive traveling towards Pinetree Apartments.

The suspect vehicle is described as a small four-door black Kia. The driver is described as a young male with curly hair.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Gander RCMP at 709-256-6841.
