RCMP charge 40-year-old aggressive driver near Botwood; remove him from the road

On Thursday, Nov. 29 at approximately 5:20 p.m., Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP were patrolling on Route 350 near Botwood and observed a vehicle that was travelling more than 60 kms/hr over the posted 80 kms/hr speed limit.

A 40-year-old man from Grand Falls-Windsor was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for excessive speed. He received a suspension of his driver’s licence and his vehicle was towed and impounded.

The RCMP is committed to keeping the highways safe and will continue with enforcement efforts to remove aggressive and dangerous drivers from the roadway.
