NAIN, N.L. — The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say they removed two allegedly impaired drivers off the road on Tuesday.
In Nain, RCMP located a man reported of suspected impaired driving and determined the 31-year-old was impaired by alcohol. Breath samples provided on the scene seemed to confirm this.
Three hours later and several hundred kilometres away in the Wiltondale area on the province's west coast, Rocky Harbour RCMP stopped a driver believed to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
The woman, a 57-year-old from British Columbia, ended up recording a breath sample more than four times the legal limit.
Both drivers were issued licence suspensions and are set to attend court at later dates.
