The moose was found just east of Appleton, and for the past few days has received the care and attention of the SPCA staff, including manager Bonnie Harris, who was travelling in the area and stopped to assist the baby moose on Sunday.

The baby moose is expected to be transferred to the Salmonier Nature Park today.

However, the baby moose wasn’t the only unusual guest at the SPCA on Monday, as a Great Horned Owl was also a resident. The owl will be joining the baby moose on its trip to the Salmonier Nature Park.
