The Stephenville town council approved a number of items during its regular general meeting held on Aug. 2.
Gerard Pomeroy – outline planning permission to construct a four-plex apartment building on property at 89 West Street with conditions the property be paved and a privacy fence installed upon the construction of the building.
Loblaw Properties Ltd. – outline planning permission for a retail cannabis store to be located at the existing space “Holy Smokes Shop” at 56-60 Prince Rupert Drive.
Healthy Eating Policy - council approved the Town of Stephenville adopt a Healthy Eating Policy developed in partnership with the Eat Great and Participate program for town facilities and special events.
Vision Automotive & RV – permit to change ownership of the existing RV, auto and propane business at 57-61 West Street from B & S Auto Sales to Vision Automotive and RV.
Home Away From Home Child Care – permit to operate a licensed family child care business from the residence at 165 New Mexico Drive.
Couche-Tard Inc. (Priority Permits Ltd.) – permit to change the signage on the existing building and canopy from Ultramar to Circle K/Irving at 9 Main Street.
Couche-Tard Inc. (Laurent Pepin Inc.) – permit to do minor exterior and interior renovations to the property at 9 Main Street.
Leonard Willette – outline planning approval to subdivide property at 58 Gallant Street to accommodate two parcels of land and erect a single family dwelling on the newly created parcel at 60 Gallant Street. Both were discretionary uses and advertised with no comments received.
Sherri Wight – outline planning permission to operate a licensed child care business from the residence at 9 Pennsylvania Drive.
Laura Jesso – permit to construct a cottage and detached garage at 1 Regatta Drive, Gull Pond.
