TWILLINGATE, NL – Two vehicles both involved in separate accidents in the early morning hours of May 13 were stolen, according to the Twillingate RCMP.

Officers were on the way to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in Summerford when they came upon the scene of another accident on Route 340 just south of Twillingate, a RCMP news release indicated.

One man was taken to hospital where he was treated and released.

Both vehicles were impounded for analysis by the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section for further investigation.

Police say both thefts appear to be related.
