With the arrival of November on Wednesday, Service NL is reminding motorists to get ready for the eventual change in weather.
The province’s Highway Traffic Act permits the use of studded tires from Nov. 1 to April 30.
Motorists should prepare for winter by ensuring vehicles are in good working order, including topping up fluids, making sure wipers and other equipment are working properly and installing a set of four matching winter tires.
Service NL suggests it’s also a wise idea to carry an emergency kit your vehicle.
