CLARENVILLE, N.L. — Crowds came out in a blistering cold wind in Clarenville Thursday evening to catch a glimpse of, and maybe a selfie with, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The event — a campaign rally for Liberal candidate Churence Rogers in the upcoming Bonavista-Burin-Trinity byelection — was held outside the Bill Davis Chalet in Clarenville. Trudeau stopped in Clarenville en route to Happy Valley-Goose Bay where he will make a formal apology to residential school survivors on Friday.

Trudeau gave a message of support for Rogers, and proceeded to make his way through the crowd to take photos with the people in the crowd.
