It’s going to be a warm couple of days in central Newfoundland, according to Environment Canada.
The weather agency has heat warnings in effect for the region including Bay of Exploits, Bonavista north, Buchans and the interior, Gander and vicinity, Deer Lake-Humber Valley, Green Bay-White Bay, and Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity.
A southwesterly flow will mean very warm air with inland highs near 30 degrees expected on Tuesday, July 10. The temperature gauge is expected to remain in the mid to upper 20s on Wednesday. It will be fairly warm at night, as well, with temperatures expected to stay above the mid to upper teens in some areas.
On the east coast, it won't be so nice, though. Fog advisories are in place for the southeast and southwest Avalon Peninsula areas. Fog will form in onshore winds Monday night, July 9 and persist on Tuesday as the southwesterly flow brings increasingly humid air to the southeast.
Environment Canada is forecasting the fog to become more extensive Tuesday night with little change expected on Wednesday.
