The RCMP is reporting the road is now re-opened.

APPLETON, N.L. - An accident is affecting traffic flow on the Trans-Canada Highway roughly two kilometres east of Appleton this morning, July 6.

According to a release from Gander RCMP sent out at 10:36 a.m., the road should be cleared in approximately 30-45 minutes. 

Police are asking motorists to use caution in the area.
