A fire investigator with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook is still digging through the interior of the commercial building on Mount Bernard Avenue that was extensively damaged in a fire on Saturday night.

The investigator is being assisted in the fire investigation by the department’s forensic identification unit. The fire broke out at 30 Mount Bernard Ave. at around 9:30 p.m.

The building was not occupied at the time and the fire is still being looked at as suspicious until it can be deemed otherwise.
