Natuashish man arrested for trafficking marijuana

HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, NL – A Natuashish man has been charged with possessing marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Joel Rich, 46, had a large quantity of the drug with him when he was arrested by the RCMP Labrador District street level drug unit at the airport in Goose Bay on Monday, Jan. 23.

Rich, who was travelling from Goose Bay to Natuashish, was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Goose Bay Provincial Court on March 18.

The investigation is ongoing.
