The first of six “Coronation Street” episodes featuring Newfoundland actor Cassidy Little will air tonight in the United Kingdom.

Little, who lost a leg to an improvised explosive device while serving with the Royal Marines in Afghanistan in 2011, will play the part a Paralympian who befriends regular show character Jack Webster, a young amputee. Little’s character eventually becomes a mentor to the young boy portrayed by Kyran Bowes.

Little’s character returns in an episode on Oct. 24, followed by two more on Nov. 28 and Nov. 30.

Airing dates on this side of the pond may not fall in line with dates in the U.K.

Local fans interested in sending Little a note of encouragement or congratulations can do so here.
