ST. JOHN’S, NL – Finance Minister Tom Osborne will give an update on the province’s fiscal and economic outlook next Tuesday.
He made the announcement in the House of Assembly on Thursday.
“Through a balanced approach to fiscal management, we have made progress in reducing the annual deficit from a projected $2.7 billion from the former government to $1.1 billion last year,” Osborne said.
Returning to fiscal balance and creating the conditions necessary for economic growth and private sector job creation is the government’s main priorities, he said.
