Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a collision late Wednesday night that saw a car crash into a utility pole on St. Thomas Line.
The crash happened just before midnight near Lanark Drive, caused extensive damage to the car and left the pole cracked in two places.
When the Telegram arrived on scene, the male driver of the car was outside the vehicle, covered in a blanket and pacing near the scene.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary had to divert traffic around the area as the electrical service line for a nearby house was hanging across St. Thomas Line.
The driver was not seriously injured.
