ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Coffee and food concessions, improved lighting, a paved parking lot, a skating loop and a trail to Kilbride.

Those were the Top 5 ideas to improve Bowring Park as generated through the City of St. John's public engagement this year.

Of more than 360 people who interacted either online or at city kiosks between May 6 and June 6, 114 offered suggestions establishing food and/or coffee concessions in the west end park.

Other ideas that emerged from the engagement included paddle boats, a community garden, mountain bike trail, and winter activities like snowshoe and skil rental.

The Bowring Park foundation will review the "What we Heard" document and consult with the city on the next steps.
