HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — Just before 5 a.m. on July 10 Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Hamilton River Road.

The driver, a 28-year-old man from Natuashish, was arrested for impaired driving.  RCMP said he was taken back to the detachment where he refused to provide a breath sample. 

The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23, to answer to the charge of refusing to provide a breath sample.  Additionally, the man was ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act for not having a valid licence and his vehicle was impounded.
