HARBOUR GRACE, N.L. — A North River man has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail for robbery a gas station in Bay Roberts
In the early morning hours of July 15, 2018, a lone man entered the Ultramar Gas Station in Bay Roberts and advised the cashier he had a gun and demanded cash from the till. The cashier complied and the man made off with an undisclosed amount of money. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 30-year-old Anthony Bradbury of North River.
On Thursday, May 30, Anthony Bradbury appeared in Provincial Court in Harbour Grace where he entered a guilty plea to the offence of robbery and was subsequently convicted.
He was sentenced to 900 days in jail, not including the jail time he had served previous to his court date. He was also sentenced to 12 month’s probation, a lifetime weapon’s prohibition and was ordered to provide a sample of his DNA to the National DNA databank.
