CARBONEAR, N.L. — Carbonear council signed a proclamation recognizing National Breastfeeding Week, which runs Oct. 1-7.

This year's theme focuses on breastfeeding as a foundation of life.

The proclamation signing took place Tuesday, Sept. 24 at a regular council meeting.
