BURIN, N.L. — Recommendations provided in a boundary extension feasibility study were recently discussed by the The Town of Burin.
The town hired LW Consulting to produce the study, which is being used to identify if it is feasible for the town to expand its service boundary to residents past the Golden Sands Resort in Burin.
An extension in the service boundary would allow the town to offer extended services to property owners in the area, including fire protection, street lighting and possibly road maintenance and snow clearing.
A meeting will be planned for the near future so council can vote on the recommendations presented in the document.
A date for that meeting has not yet been set.
