WHITBOURNE, N.L. — Whitbourne RCMP are currently investigating a report of a counterfeit $100 bill being used at a local business.

Passing counterfeit bills is a criminal offence. The RCMP reminds businesses to be diligent when accepting large bills. To learn about the security features on bank notes, visit the Bank of Canada’s websitehttps://www.bankofcanada.ca/banknotes.
