Police are investigating an armed robbery this morning in Clarenville.
In a release issued today, RCMP say there was an armed robbery this morning at the Irving gas station on the Trans Canada Highway in Clarenville.
According to police, a male suspect entered the store wearing black, wielding a sledgehammer and demanding money from the cash register.
The store clerk was unharmed and the male left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as having a slim build and between five-feet five-inches and five-feet nine-inches tall.
