Clarenville man convicted of violent stabbing

CLARENVILLE, NL— A Clarenville man has been convicted of aggravated assault following a violent stabbing that took place in Clarenville on April 30, 2016.

Michael Norman, 44, has been convicted of stabbing another man six times at the Hawthrone Manor parking lot.

The decision was reached at Clarenville provincial court Thursday, Jan. 4.

Norman will be sentenced Thursday, Feb. 15.

He will be held in police custody until then.
