Springdale woman charged with using false documents to get pills

A Springdale woman has been charged with harassment and using false documents to get pills.

Springdale RCMP reported Friday that they’d received a complaint from the Springdale hospital about a woman who had provided several false documents to staff to try to get prescription pills, as well as making frequent phone calls and visits to the hospital, causing a disruption.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested Thursday and was being held in custody to appear in court in Grand Falls-Windsor today. Police did not release the name of the woman, who has been charged with fraud, uttering a forged document, criminal harassment, making harassing phone calls, and breaching court orders.

Police also said the woman also has more than 40 other charges before provincial court.
