Reservations begin for Terra Nova National Park campgrounds next week

TERRA NOVA NATIONAL PARK, NL – Reservations for Terra Nova National Park’s Newman Sound and Malady Head campgrounds as well as backcountry campsites will start on Tuesday, Jan. 23 for the 2018 season.

Information on camping and accommodations including oTENTiks – a structure that blends the fun of a tent with the convenience of a cabin – at the park is available on its website at http://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/nl/terranova/index.

Camping reservations can be made online at www.reservations.parkscanada.gc.ca or by phone at 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783).

The Newman Sound campground opens on May 16 and closes on Oct. 7 (268 campsites / 20 oTENTiks). The Malady Head campground opens on June 13 and closes on Sept. 23 (92 campsites / 10 oTENTiks). The backcountry campsites are available from May 16 to Oct. 7.

The Government of Canada recently announced admission to all Parks Canada’s places are free for youth 17 and under.

Reservations will begin at 8:30 a.m. NL Time.
