Studded tire season in N.L. extended to May 14

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The recent wintery weather conditions in parts of the province have caused some slippery situations for many residents this past week.

But there’s no need to panic about getting those studded tires off your vehicle just yet.

As a result of the adverse conditions, government has opted to extend the deadline to remove studded tires by two weeks.

The new deadline is May 14.
