The Town of Labrador City will be releasing its budget for 2019 at a public meeting to be held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.
A message from Mayor Wayne Button indicates council will not just deliver a budget speech, but that a strong part of the budget speech is almost a press release by the town regarding the incidents that have occurred in the past few months around recreation.
The message is to be recorded, and will also be live streamed on the towns Facebook page.
Button says the release will provide clarity on the issue.
In recent weeks there have been discussions between various stakeholders regarding the recreation centre in Wabush. Recently Button did not want to comment publicly on the situation when contacted by The Aurora and other media outlets.
It’s expected Tuesdays release will explain the towns position.
